Explore the rainforests of Borneo!

During Borneo Adventures we will explore the canopy for endemic birds, scout the surrounding environment for native flora and fauna while learning the ecology of tropical rainforests in Southeast Asia.

We will also have a rare opportunity to learn basic jungle survival skills from a local Sabahan (shelter building, finding food & water, fire making skills) while exploring the issues faced by indigenous peoples in the region.

We will stay in a simple jungle camp with basic facilities set in a truly wonderful location next to the boundary of the Mt Kinabalu National Park and World Heritage site.

13658966_1033192180068347_2265396764710617096_nCrystal clear rivers and waterfalls surround the camp which has proven to be packed full of smaller wildlife with plenty of opportunities to explore or simply relax in the nearby streams! The surrounding area is one of the best to view the endemic and bizarre Rafflesia flowers in bloom.

Accommodation is in tents on raised platforms off the forest floor.
